Adam Levine Hates America? Not Really But He’s Pissed!

Adam Levine is in some hot water today after a “hot mic” caught him mumbling, “I hate this country” after two of singers were voted off ‘The Voice.’ Adam came into the competition with what looked like to be one of the strongest teams. He had Judith Hill and Sarah Simmons, which were both believed to be two of the favorites early on. However, they both kind of had an “off” night on Monday, and they ended up being eliminated from the competition last night.

He is left with only one contestant, Amber Carrington. It’s clear that Adam was probably joking, he was obviously just upset that two of his contestants were voted off. However, fans filled with Memorial day pride had to blast Adam on Twitter. The hate got so bad that the singer actually had to defend himself on his Twitter account. He basically made it clear that he was just joking by pulling out multiple definitions from the dictionary.

He defined the word “joke” along with the words “humorless,” “lighthearted” and “misunderstand.” Clearly, his sarcasm probably just pissed off the people even more, but that’s just the kind of sense of humor Adam has. And really, there probably is some truth behind his comment. While he might not really “hate” this country, he probably thinks they do a poor job of picking singers. After all, it seems as if America just votes for “country music.” Blake Shelton managed to keep all of his contestants last night.

Levine Told US Weekly,

“Last night’s elimination of Judith and Sarah was confusing and downright emotional for me and my comments were made based on my personal dissatisfaction with the results, I am very connected to my artists and know they have long careers ahead, regardless of their outcome on the show.”

It’s clear that America has a “country music” bias, and Blake Shelton is reaping the benefits. I don’t blame Adam for being mad at the voters. You can watch the interview with Judith Hill after she was eliminated below,
