Details on James Gandolfini’s Shocking Death

As we reported last night, the talented 51-year-old actor James Gandolfini died yesterday in his hotel room in Italy. It was first reported that he suffered a stroke, but then it was later revealed that he died after suffering a heart attack.

Well, now we know some more details on his death and it just makes this story even more terrible than it already is.

Apparently, James was on a father-son vacation with his son who had just graduated the eighth grade. They were celebrating with a “guy’s trip” and James was scheduled to attend the Taormina Film Festival in Sicily. Reports that are coming out now reveal that Michael (James’ son) was the first to find his dad collapsed in the bathroom of their hotel room. An ambulance was called to the scene and apparently James was still alive when paramedics arrived.

However, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital, which was just a short three minute drive from the hotel he was staying at. Paramedics tried their best to bring him back to life, spending nearly 40 minutes trying to resuscitate him. James’ first wife, Marcy Wudarski has flown out to Italy to comfort their son.

That’s just terrible. You have to feel so bad for that poor kid. We certainly wish all the best to all of his friends and family. He was a great actor and it sounds like he was an even better dad.
