Jay Z and Beyonce Attend Trayvon Martin Rally
Jay Z, formally known as “Jay-Z” and his superstar wife Beyonce made it clear where they stand on the Trayvon Martin case.
The dynamic duo made a surprise appearance at a rally for Martin this past Saturday in New York. The couple didn’t talk or make some big speech, they just wanted to show their support for the Martin family.
Al Sharpton was also at the event and he had this to say about their appearance,
“Jay Z and Beyonce said they didn’t want to speak and they didn’t come for a photo op. Jay Z told me, ‘I’m a father. Beyonce is a mother.’ We all feel the pain and apprehension – the laws must protect everybody, or it doesn’t protect anybody. We do not come from hate, we come from love of children.”
Even though they didn’t come to speak, or “take over” the event. The star couple did take a photo with Trayvon’s mom, dad and his brother.
It was clear that Beyonce was outraged by the verdict from the beginning. A day before the event, the singer wrote the following message on her Tumblr, “Trayvon Martin’s most basic civil right, the right to live, was violated.”
Even the President of the United States has made his feelings known in this case. Just a few days ago, Obama said this during one of his speeches,

I don’t want to exaggerate, but those sets of experiences inform how the African-American community interprets what happened one night in Florida.”
