Police in New York arrested four people in connection with Hoffman’s death last night. The NYPD recieved a tip that led them to the apartment building where the four suspected drug dealers live.
According to Lt. John Grimpel, officers executed a search warrant at an apartment building located on the 300 block of Mott Street.

[more…]The person who led police to the apartment building told authorities that he uses the same dealer. He also said that Hoffman would buy “bundles” of heroin at a time, and he’d purchase them at least twice a week.
Like we said, the names of the suspects have not officially been released, but TMZ is reporting that one of the suspects is Robert Vineberg. He’s a famous musician who has played sax for Amy Winehouse, Mick Jagger, Tom Jones and David Bowie. He’s now being charged with felony drug possession.
As you have probably heard by now, Hoffman reportedly withdrew $1,200 before his death. He withdrew the money in six transactions inside a supermarket by his house.
