Bobby Flay’s Divorce Gets Dirty
It looks like celebrity chef Bobby Flay’s divorce is starting to get dirty. It all started when the chef, who is worth an estimated $20 million, offered his ex Stephanie March a paltry $5000 a month in monthly support.
A lawyer for Flay’s wife returned the check with an outraged note, stating;
We regard the support provisions of the pre-marital agreement as unenforceable (not to mention morally reprehensible).
Stephanie also accuses her ex of trying to starve her into submission, by cancelling the credit cards and accounts she used for purchasing household items like groceries. Her lawyer has called it “bullying through economic warfare.”
On top of that, it looks like Flay is trying to control public perception of his split. March alleges that Flay has refused to allow her to stay in the marital home with her sick mother unless she signs an agreement saying the split was amicable. There have been some allegations that Flay was unfaithful, which Flay denies.
Flay is backing up his claims with a pre-nup signed in 2005. His representative has not commented on the allegations yet.
