Fifth Harmony Mic Grab: Karla Snatches Mic From Ally – Was it Really that Bad or is the Media Out to Make Karla a Villain (Video)

This debate has been heating up social media for a few days now.  The girls were in Sao Paulo Brazil doing a concert when their microphones stopped working.  Yes…all 5 of them.

From the looks of the set, it appears that they are on a budget.  There is barely a backdrop and there are 5 Ikea chairs on stage, so having 5 microphones all stop working is no surprise.  However, I must say, the girls recovered nicely.

While their stagehands ran off getting the microphones fixed, they sang Acapella with the crowd and added enough hip gyrations to keep everyone interested.  After about 40 seconds, one of the stagehands returns with a mic and gives it to Ally.  He must have known her part of the song was up and handed the mic right to her.  She finishes her verse and as she’s hitting her last note, Karla reaches in and grabs the mic.

This is where the debate starts.  Looking at the gif Ally seems pissed, however the real video shows a slightly less pissed, more surprised Ally and the fact that it was Karla’s verse coming up, I wondered, “is the media just being too rough on Karla”? Here is the gif:

See?  The gif does look pretty bad.

you are just a hater. That was NOT what happened during that performance that night. All the girls passing the mics back & forth during that WE KNOW performance. They were all having fun, search Camila Lauren video on singing We Know on twitter that night, you will see they were just all having fun on stage. You want to stir up rumors, create more conflicts for them, you want them to fight so bad. YOU ARE SUCH A BAD PERSON. Camila’s personality is sort of like guys sometimes, she doesn’t care about small stuff, but she is a senitivie & fragile person. YOU HATERS BETTER STOP & DRIVE HER TO THE EDGE

Of course that prompted us to go and watch the video, before jumping on the “F Karla” bandwagon.

Here’s the full video.  And if you are wondering where we stand at TVST?  I’m still stuck on the gyrations.  As long as they are dancing, I could care less who took the mic from who.  As you see in the video, it’s a little bit of both. She slightly snatches and Ally is probably surprised and slightly upset for about 30 seconds and gets over it.  Watch for yourself and decide:
