Medical Examiner Reveals Cause Of Death For ‘Astroworld Music Festival’ Victims
You’ll remember shortly after the tragic deaths at Travis Scott’s ‘Astroworld Music Festival’ some sources from inside the festival (most likely paid by Kris Jenner) tried to claim people may have died from someone going around injecting them with a mystery substance.
There was a report that said someone was caught with a syringe or something, and that’s what sparked the panic? I don’t know. It was bullsh*t then, and it’s bullsh*t now.
The report from the Harris County medical examiner is in, and much to no one’s surprise, all 10 victims died from compression asphyxia.
“Compression asphyxia occurs when air is cut off from the body due to external pressure,” according to the National Library of Medicine. This means that these people died because they were getting trampled on, most likely after passing out and falling down to the ground.
The report does note that one man who died also had cocaine and methamphetamine in his system, which could have contributed to his death.
Some 300 people were injured and treated at the festival site and 25 were taken to hospitals.
Dozens of lawsuits have been filed over injuries and deaths at the concert, where fans surged toward the stage during Scott’s concert, squeezing people so tightly together that they could not breathe or move their arms.
This report is certainly not going to help Travis and his team in court. It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out. Money is going to be dished out, but whose pockets will it come out of? That’s not clear.
At the end of the day though, it’s not about the money. It’s not about Travis Scott. It’s about the ten people who lost their lives. It’s about their friends and families. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to them. It’s absolutely insane that the youngest victim was just 9-years-old.
