UFC President Dana White Forced To Apologize After He Was Caught Slapping His Wife On Video!
UFC President Dana White has mostly managed to stay out of the headlines. In fact, he’s often played peacemaker, which is something one must do when they are president of nearly anything.
But on New Year’s Eve, White and his wife Anne White got into a heated argument in a crowded Cabo San Lucas nightclub. They were celebrating with friends in the resort town and apparently the drinks were coming in hard and fast. Insiders say both Dana and Anne were heavily intoxicated.
At one point in the night, they were in the VIP area above the dance floor, and you can see Dana lean over and whisper something to his wife. She didn’t like whatever he whispered, so she turned around and slapped him in the face. Dana slapped her back, and then slapped her once more before friends were able to pull them apart.
Eyewitnesses in the club tell TMZ Sports … Dana and Anne both seemed heavily intoxicated prior to the violence, and the video seems to bear that out, because things went from zero to 100 in an instant — seemingly for no reason. Further, we’re told the conflict was all over in less than a minute.
Following the release of the video, Dana talked to TMZ and issued an apology for his actions.
You’ve heard me say for years, ‘There’s never ever an excuse for a guy to put his hands on a woman,’ and now here I am on TMZ talking about it.
He added that he was completely embarrassed by the situation and says the alcohol obviously played a role, but he didn’t want to use that as an excuse. He also claims this has never happened before, which we find hard to believe.
Dana and Anne have been married nearly 30 years, but have known each other since they were 12, a fact Dana repeated like three times during his interview with TMZ.
He says they’ve apologized to one another, talked to their kids about the video, and have moved on. In fact, they’re still on vacation together.
What do you think? Was this the first time they’ve been physical with each other?
