Jay Leno Breaks Multiple Bones In Motorcycle Accident Months After Nearly Being Burned Alive
It looks like Jay Leno’s deal with the devil is starting to come to an end. The 72-year-old comedian, who has had so much luck and fortune in his life, has had an incredibly difficult past few months.
You’ll remember back in November 2022, Leno was hospitalized for nearly two weeks after suffering severe burns to his face and body. He was working on a 1907 White Steam Car inside his garage in Los Angeles when a gasoline fire erupted. Thankfully, his friend was with him at the time and was able to smother the flames, or else Leno may not be here today.
And as if nearly burning alive wasn’t bad enough, the former ‘Tonight Show‘ host just revealed he got into a pretty bad motorcycle accident a couple months later.
In a recent interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Leno revealed he got knocked off his motorbike earlier this month and broke his collarbone, two ribs and his kneecaps, “But I’m okay!” he insisted.
He said he wanted to keep this latest incident a secret for a while because it was so close to the other accident. He didn’t want all the publicity again. As for how the crash happened? Well, we’ll let him tell it.
So I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it. So, you know, I didn’t see it until it was too late. It just clothesline me and, boom, knocked me off the bike. The bike kept going, and you know how that works out.
But the show must go on. In March, he’s going to be headlining a show at Wynn Las Vegas. Although, his management team may want to consider locking him inside the house until then.
