Ariana Grande Responds To Fans Who Claim She Is “Too” Thin In Recent Photos
Worried about Ariana Grande’s weight? Thank u… next! The 29-year-old pop star was photographed attending Jeff Goldblum’s London concert last week.
She walked inside the building with her ‘Wicked‘ co-star, Cynthia Erivo, and all anyone could talk about was how thin Grande looked.
Admittedly, she does look a little thin in these photos, but you have to remember that angles and lighting can make things look better or worse. Also, Grande is a tiny person. She is just barely 5 foot tall, so her healthy weight is going to look a little different than yours.
But still, people have to talk about it. The internet expressed major concern for Grande in the only way they know how… by dropping comments like, “Ariana Grande looks worryingly thin.”
Lots of people commented on the photos, and not surprisingly, Grande read them. She decided to address the comments in a three-minute video posted to her TikTok account.

In the video, she encourages her followers to be more mindful before sharing their opinions on other people’s bodies.
The body that you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body. I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly. [I was] at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider my healthy, but that in fact wasn’t my healthy. I know I shouldn’t have to explain that. But I do feel like maybe having an openness and some sort of vulnerability here, good might come from it.
She added that people should feel “less comfortable” commenting on others’ bodies, even if they’re well-meaning.
It’s funny how the internet has no problems talking about how “thin” someone is, but if you leave a comment saying, “you look overweight, i’m worried for you,” you’d be booted off the internet.
Doesn’t make much sense, huh?
