Oprah Winfrey Finally Confirms She’s Been Using Ozempic, And She Does Not Want Your Shame!
Have you noticed how good Oprah Winfrey has been looking lately? The 69-year-old star has been showing off a slim figure lately, and we must say, respectfully… damn!
She has been hitting up the promotional circuit the past couple weeks to promote the upcoming film, The Color Purple, and people can’t stop talking about how great she looks.
As you can tell by the photos, she’s lost a decent amount of weight. People online have been spreading rumors that she’s obviously been taking the celebrity weight loss drug Ozempic.
And during a conversation with People on Wednesday, the billionaire admitted to using a prescription drug to help her lose weight…
I now use it as I feel I need it, as a tool to manage not yo-yoing. The fact that there’s a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for. I’m absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself.
I think people had a problem with celebrities using Ozempic in particular because it was originally prescribed for people suffering from Type II diabetes. People were worried celebs were driving the price up.
But I believe there’s more medications out there now. Ozempic is no longer the only dog in the game. In any event, Oprah is thankful for the prescribed help. She marveled that this past Thanksgiving, she only gained half a pound, as opposed to nearly 10 pounds last year.
I realized I’d been blaming myself all these years for being overweight, and I have a predisposition that no amount of willpower is going to control.
