Ariana Grande Facing Backlash After Saying She’d Want To Have Dinner With Jeffrey Dahmer
During a recent podcast interview, pop star Ariana Grande suggested serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer would be one of her dream dinner guests.
She remembered a time early in her career when she was taking questions from some of her younger fans. One fan asked her who her dream dinner guest would be, and Grande looked at her parents and asked if she could say her “real” answer, and they apparently gave her permission.
Grande remembered telling the young group of girls that she’d love to pick Dahmer’s brain. She said she had a lot of questions to ask him. If you don’t know, Dahmer killed and dismembered 17 men over a 13-year period. He also ate some of his victim’s body parts, so we can’t imagine why anyone would want to have dinner with him.
After Grande’s bizarre admission spread online, the loved ones of some of Dahmer’s victims spoke out, slamming Grande for her insensitive comments.
Shirley, Tony’s mother, tells TMZ … she hopes Ariana understands how hurtful her comments are, noting the confession made her emotional. She was also disturbed when Ariana laughed during the podcast about her Dahmer fascination. Shirley wants the singer, and the general public, to know she and other victims’ families experience very real pain any time Dahmer is brought up. Ro me, it seems like she’s sick in her mind. It’s not fancy or funny to say you would have wanted to do dinner with him.
Of course, Grande isn’t the only one who has a fascination with true crime and serial killers. There’s millions of dollars being made in the true crime genre, so really, Grande is just consuming what the media is putting out.
