L.A. Coffee Shop Exploiting Paul Walker’s Death, Jason Biggs Calls Them Out On Twitter
Well, I’ve been trying to avoid most stories about Paul Walker out of respect for his family. However, this is a story that needs some attention.
Actor Jason Biggs posted the photo you see down below to his Twitter account yesterday. As you can see, he captioned the photo, “Umm, am I crazy, or does this seem exploitive and in poor taste? @CoffeebeanLA”
[more…]Of course, Fast & Furious and Varsity Blues were two of Walker’s biggest movies. It looks like the coffee shop is trying to make some extra tips off the tragedy by pitting the two movies against each other. And judging by the photo above, it appears to be working.
I have to agree with Jason Biggs here, this is definitely in poor taste. The only way something like this would be acceptable is if the coffee shop is planning on donating it to some charity that Paul Walker was involved in or something.
However, that doesn’t appear to be the case because you would think they would have a sign up for something like that.
Everyone seems to be forgetting that Paul Walker was a human first and a celebrity second. Hopefully the coffee shop has taken the signs down.
