Why Does Matthew McConaughey Look so Thin?
McConaughey made an appearance last night with his wife at a screening of his new movie, Killer Joe. My jaw dropped as he literally looks like he is sick
We learned that he is thinning out for a new movie role; appropriately he is going to play an HIV patient.
PHEW! Because he definitely looks the part, and I would not have believed any other reason than that. Compared to the world seeing him in Magic Mike (I only saw the trailer…I swear) and how he looked last night in New York it reminded me of when I saw the Steve Jobs Cancer photos.
HOW MUCH WEIGHT HAS MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY LOST?
He has six more weeks to continue to lose weight for the role. He’s said he has lost 15 pounds but has to lose 15 more to go. The secret to his weight loss….tea! McConaughey says,
‘I am drinking a lot of tea. It takes a while for your body to understand that it has to feed off of itself and that you’re not going to give it something else from the outside.’
The Dallas Buyer’s Club is the movie that McConaughey is prepping for from the plot synopsis it looks like it can be really good.
Told to “go home and die” after developing full-blown AIDS in 1986, electrician Ron Woodroof delves into the world of underground pharmacies that supply HIV drugs not approved for use in the U.S. in an attempt to prolong his life, and, ultimately, the lives of thousands of other people.
There is no release date scheduled yet for the film. Let’s hope McConaughey has enough energy to make it through production.
