Amber Riley Is NOT Leaving Glee, Everyone Took Her Tweets Too Far!

There is some advantage to being late to a story.  After just about every blog was running a story about Amber Riley leaving “Glee” I decided to wait.  After reading what she wrote and what other gossip columnists wrote in return, I was not convinced that she was leaving.

After filming the last episode of the Season, Amber Riley tweeted,

“That’s a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I’ve known day in and day out for three years. I’m going to miss the whole Glee family, seeing them everyday!”

And then…..

“I have so many brothers and sisters now 🙂 But I am looking forward to a much needed and deserved summer vacation! SCHOOL’S OUT Glee Kids! Let’s play!”

And finally…..

“Stay tuned to see what’s next for Mercedes ;)”

So everyone, anxious to see who will be staying and who will be leaving, took the series of tweets as Riley good bye.  As you re-read what she wrote, it could be taken as her career with Glee is over, or just filming for the season is over. It appears to be the later, as far as she knows.

Riley tweeted again yesterday to clean up any confusion,

“I was not confirming I was leaving the show. Just stating that I would miss being in the classroom everyday with the cast and that would be changing. Thanks for the support guys,

That’s the good and bad thing about twitter. It can be used to extinguish rumors but it also spreads them like wildfire!”

 SO, WHO IS DEFINITELY COMING BACK TO GLEE?

Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith are confirmed.  Everyone else is up in the air.

Dianna Agron’s return is still questionable and she didn’t help with her tweet from Tuesday,

“I don’t know all that is to come, but I know what a day like this means. Four years of love, light & support. To the cast, crew & creators.”

Everyone needs to just take a chill pill.  The good part is, the show is returning along with enough of the cast to insure that the fourth season will at least be decent.  Given the increase in ratings, money and attention that has come with every new season we shouldn’t be disappointed with Season 4.  In the meantime I’m following Dianna Agron on twitter, if she makes a move….I’m all over it.
