Are Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Staying Married? Maybe!!
It appears that Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant is having a hard time signing the divorce papers. She has until Sunday to make the divorce final. It appears that time in mediation is paying off and the two might just work things out.
TMZ reports that a source close to the situation says,
‘We’ve learned Kobe and Vanessa are trying to work out the issues that caused her to file for divorce back in December.
‘They spend a lot of time together but he has not officially moved back in with her,
This is another example of why the California waiting period of six months is effective. If papers are filed in the heat of an argument, it gives both parties time to clear their heads and hearts and make the right decisions.
Vanessa would receive three of Kobe’s mansions plus $75 million dollars if the divorce does go through. She filed back in December with claims that Kobe was with multiple women over their 10 years of marriage. They married when Vanessa was just in her teens with no pre-nuptial agreement leaving the couple susceptible to California’s 50-50 law for divorce.
Since the official divorce filing they have been seen together on many occasions in public, even sharing a kiss on Valentine’s Day.
Kudos for Kobe for not making a stink over the money or the mansions during the settlement talks. If he was trying to work this out that was extremely wise. He could have acted like an ass and made things worse and ruined any chances of reconciliation.
NOTHING IS CONFIRMED…..
So far all of the news stories and outlets report back to the one and only TMZ story which says that the divorce is called off “FOR NOW”. ABC News and other outlets have yet to get a response from Kobe’s rep confirming if it’s true or not. Hell, Kobe himself probably doesn’t know if it’s true or not, no one will really know until the deadline has passed and Vanessa has not signed the papers. I hope they stay together.
In this instance for Kobe the old saying is definitely true, “IT’S CHEAPER TO KEEP HER”.
