Chris Brown Albums Stickered with Domestic Abuse Warnings!!
If you don’t know by now, I’m not a Chris Brown fan. Rihanna might have forgiven him but I haven’t. It appears that some U.K. campaigners have not either. I’m not sure how they are getting away with this, or how many stores they hit, but at least in one HMV megastore Breezi’s albums are getting a rather unique warning sticker.
The sticker says,
“WARNING. DO NOT BUY THIS ALBUM! THIS MAN BEATS WOMEN.”
Wow! Ok, this has gone way too far. If you are not a fan, don’t buy his music, but this is just out right slander. As much as I hate Chris Brown, I cannot support this type of behavior. This is debilitating……it’s crazy.
How long ago was it that Chris Brown beat Rihanna? It was in 2009. What were you doing three years ago?
The problem is Chris Brown. Brown has done nothing to show any remorse. He’s still cocky arrogant, young, black and rich. It pisses me off and apparently some “good doers” across the pond are angry as well.
HMV made it clear that they were not a part of the campaign. A rep for the music store explained,
“It was very much an isolated incident and nothing to do with HMV or representing our views, It would appear a member of the public popped into one of our stores yesterday and stickered a handful of CDs.
The photos that hit the internet must have been taken as soon as the stickers were placed. The HMV rep also believes this was the case,
“These were spotted and quickly removed, but, before we could act, the individual concerned must have taken a photo and sent it to the media. To our knowledge there are no further stickers in our stores now.”
No group has claimed responsibly for the act, but if they were attempting a viral campaign, they can consider this a success. I’ve seen at least 20 websites and the pics are starting to pop up on face book. Well Played….Well Played indeed.
