Drake and Kendrick Lamar Big Winners At BET Hip-Hop Awards

The BET Hip-Hop awards were filmed last month, but the show just aired yesterday. You may remember us telling you about how Kendrick Lamar slammed Drake during his performance on the show. If you happened to miss the story, you can click on this link to read all about it.

Oddly enough, the two big winners of the night were Drake and Lamar. Drake came in second on the night with four awards, while Lamar took home a total of five awards.

Kendrick took home two of the biggest awards of the night, Lyricist of the Year and Album of the Year.  While Drake won the awards for Best Hip-Hop Video and Track of the Year for his hit song, “Started From the Bottom.”

Jay Z won, “Best Live Performer” and Miley Cyrus’ f–k buddy Mike Will Made It took home the award for Producer of the Year. Other winners include, Big Sean, J. Cole and A$AP Rocky.

And get this, there was even award for “Best Hip Hop Online Site.” Surprisingly, we were not even nominated! Some site called World Star Hip-Hop won the award, I’ve never heard of them. They must be new or something.

We better be nominated next year. I’ll be the Eminem of online hip-hop sites! Minus the drugs, crazy ex-wife and suicide attempts.
