Paul McCartney Stands Up For Miley Cyrus

Most people agree that the performance Miley Cyrus put on at the VMAs was gross and embarrassing.

Several artists have expressed their disappointment in the 20-year-old singer including, P!nk, Cher, Sinead O’Connor and even Robin Thicke hasn’t really had the back of his twerking partner.

However, there is one huge name who is offering support for Miley Cyrus. Sir Paul McCartney talked with Sky News recently and had this to say about Miley’s performance…

“You couldn’t see anything! I watched it as an experiment to check, but you look at it and you say, ‘what’s everyone shouting about?’ I think it was only mildly shocking…it wasn’t explicit at all.”

He went on to say,

“Someone said to me that that world that a lot of those people like Miley live in is all noise, and they’ve got to get above the noise. So they have to do something. I think it was only mildly shocking. She’s dancing with Robin Thicke, so what? Come on, we’ve seen worse than that!”

Personally, I find it offensive that he didn’t find the performance offensive! No, seriously, how could he not think her performance was explicit? There was sex dripping off that stage. She might not have been nude up there, but she freaking ate out someone’s ass on stage!

But who am I to argue with Paul McCartney? I should be ashamed of myself.
