HOSPITALIZED: Nick Cannon Shares Selfie From Hospital Bed As He Continues to Push His Body to Its Limits.
After I just got finished watching “American Got Talent”, I get a text and find out that Cannon is in the hospital. What! Before I can second guess the source, I see that the story has already been confirmed by Cannon himself. The photo posted is actually a selfie!
The 34 year old, self-proclaimed workaholic snapped a selfie of himself with a fishing cap on and sad puppy dog eyes lying in a hospital bed. As we found out during the last time he was hospitalized back in 2012, he suffers from a lupus-type auto immune disease and it flares up when he pushes his body to the limit. It looks like that’s exactly what he did. He posted the picture and the caption below to his Instagram account:
The caption along with the photos reads,
Dont worry, Temporary pit stop… Sometimes I can be a little too bull headed and stubborn. I gotta stop running my body to the ground. I be wanting to grind nonstop but the engine can’t run on fumes. On the low though, I really think I’m a super hero… Now I’m not saying I’m Batman, but I am saying nobody has ever seen me and Batman in the same room together. LOL #ImGood
Back in 2012 wen he was hospitalized his kidneys shut down and then he had a blood clot just a few weeks later. He returned to work looking thinner and fragile and over time he has gotten back to the Nick we all know and love. It appears that his body is trying to tell him that he needs to dial back the throttle just a little and slow down. Let’s hope he listens.
After living with the auto-immune disease for a few years hopefully Nick is able to make the necessary adjustments to insure that he’s getting proper rest and eating the right things. Then again, he’s worth and estimated $20 million dollars so if he’s not, it’s his own fault. Let’s hope he’s well enough to resume his summer gig as host of AGT, which by the way is doing huge numbers again this year. Nick is the Ryan Seacrest of the summer and is continuing to add to the show’s charm by just being the silly guy we expect him to be. The show ranks #1 out of all big 4 networks in all the categories that matter: men and women 18 – 34, 18 – 49, 25 – 54 and also in total viewers.
Here is a clip of Nick hard at work. His job is better than mine….then again, I’m sitting in my boxers, watching Ted 2, and writing about Nick Cannon. I might like my job better.
