Chris Brown Assault Charge Reduced From Felony To Misdemeanor
Well, Chris Brown has been released from jail after being held in there for 36 hours, without bail. The assault charge that was filed against him has been reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor.
His bodyguard was also charged with felony assault, but his charge was also reduced to a misdemeanor. This is certainly good news for them both, but they are not out of the woods yet.
[more…]As we reported to you the other day, Brown was arrested for assault in the nation’s capital after allegedly attacking a dude outside of a hotel. The man who was attacked claims that he suffered a broken nose and that Brown got upset with him after he tried to jump in a picture.
According to the man, Brown said, “I feel like boxing” and then hit him right in the face. After the initial punch, Brown’s bodyguard stepped in and the poor dude didn’t have a chance.
However, sources close to the singer claim that the man is lying. They say he was trying to get on Brown’s tour bus and Chris was just trying to keep him from trespassing. We should also note that Chris Brown denied even punching the guy in his witness statement.
So, there are still a lot of unanswered questions. Who punched who first? That is the big question and judging by the charges being reduced, it’s safe to say no one knows exactly what happened.
Chris still could be in some serious trouble, though. He could still have his probation revoked, but that is not a likely scenario. It looks like Chris Brown is going to escape yet again.
