Brandy And Her Fiance Ryan Press End Long Engagement

It looks like Brandy still hasn’t found what she’s looking for. The 35-year-old singer/actress has never been married, and it looks like it’s going to stay that way for a long time to come.

“They are no longer together. The engagement is off, but the friendship is still on.” A rep told Us Weekly in a brief statement. There are no details behind the split, but it appears Brandy might have been the one who initiated the split.

“They decided to take a step back and reevaluate the relationship. Brandy is 35 now — that’s what her whole #35 on Twitter is about, becoming her own woman.”

Sounds like she still wants to play the field. Catch a few passes, score some touchdowns and kick a few field goals before she turns 40 and is forced to take a knee.

The former couple announced their engagement back in December of 2012. It’s usually not a good sign for an engagement to drag out that long, huh? Especially when the couple engaged can obviously afford the wedding of their dreams.

According to the rep, Brandy still wants to get married in the future and still wants to have more kids, but she’s not ready to give up her busy career yet.

“Brandy has a daughter and she still wants to be married and have more kids but she is working on so many other things right now.”

Good for her. 35 is the new 18, right? 50 is the new 30 and 70 is the new 40, right? At least I hope that’s how it works. It’d make me feel better about my brief affair with Mrs. Jenkins down the street. She really did bake the best after-sex cookies.
