Jennifer Lawrence And Director David O. Russell Scream At Each Other During Argument On Set
Jennifer Lawrence and David O. Russell are teaming up again to create their new film Joy, but it doesn’t look like there is a lot of joy on set of the movie in Boston. According to multiple sources, J.Law didn’t agree with how David was directing a scene, and that’s when the director lost his sh-t.
A screaming match between the two ensued. The sources claim lots of profanity was being used and several people on set looked extremely uncomfortable. We also learned that Harvey Weinstein showed up Wednesday to meet with Lawrence, but David ordered him to leave immediately. Apparently, the director didn’t want anyone distracting his big star.
But how much of this is actually true? It’s difficult to tell. A rep for the movie studio claims that there was a lot of screaming going on, but it was just method acting. The director was simply getting Lawrence ready for a scene in which she had to berate another actor.
It’s possible the rep was just making up an excuse; however, I actually think that’s probably what happened. I mean, if Lawrence and David really hated each other so much, why would they be working on their third film together? The actress and director have managed to create two wonderful films together, American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook.
And Joy promises to be another hit. Telling the true story of Joy Mangano, the Long Island single mother who introduced us all to the self-wringing Miracle Mop. Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro also star in the film.
