Nelly Arrested On Drug Charges After State Troopers Find Meth Inside Bus
Hopefully Nelly kept his clothes on during his brief stay in a Tennessee jail on Saturday. The rapper was driving down ol’ I-40 between Nashville and Knoxville Saturday morning when state troopers pulled over his bus for not having the correct stickers displayed.
After smelling marijuana inside, the troopers decided to search the bus. And during their search, they found something a little more interesting than weed. They found five colored crystal-type rocks that tested positive for methamphetamine. In addition to the meth, they also found marijuana and several weapons inside the bus, including a 500 magnum Smith and Wesson.
There were at least six people inside the bus at the time. One of those people being the 40-year-old rapper Nelly. He was arrested, and is now facing a number of charges including felony possession of drugs.
Nelly’s attorney, Scott Rosenblum, believes his client will be cleared of all drug charges…
Nelly was one of several individuals that was on a tour bus that was stopped and searched while traveling through Tennessee. In fact, there had been 15-20 people that had access to the bus prior to the stop. We are extremely confident that when the facts come out, Nelly will not be associated with the contraband that was allegedly discovered.
Of course he won’t! You think those people on the bus are going to let the man in charge take the fall? Hell no. Some poor bodyguard named after a Marvel character is going to take the fall.
There is some good news though. If they were stopped just outside of Knoxville, that means the troopers saved them from going through pothole hell once you hit Memphis.
