Hefner Responds To Tell All Book
Hugh Heffner took the opportunity to comment on Holly Madison’s memoir of life in the Playboy Mansion, titled; “”Down The Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures And Cautionary Tales From A Former Playboy Bunny”. In the book, due to be released in June 23, 2015, Madison makes some surprising claims, including one that Heffner was emotionally and verbally abusive. She even poked fun at his bedroom style, saying that not a whole lot went on.
Hefner responds that the book is Madison’s attempt to stay in the spotlight. Specifically, he told Us Magazine;
Over the course of my life I’ve had more than my fair share of romantic relationships with wonderful women. Many moved on to live happy, healthy and productive lives, and I’m pleased to say remain dear friends today. Sadly, there are a few who have chosen to rewrite history in an attempt to stay in the spotlight. I guess, as the old saying goes: You can’t win ’em all!
Madison and Hefner have not spoken in years, and the only comment Madison has made on the whole thing is that the book speaks for itself. In it, she details isolation, strict schedules and not being allowed to wear red lipstick, among other things. She has no intent of trying to speak with Hefner, saying
I don’t really find him to be a very genuine person. I feel like if I were to get on the phone with him, everything out of his mouth would be PR B.S.
Looks like these two won’t be getting together for a reunion show anytime soon.
