Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts.
According to the reports, police officers responded to a call of an unresponsive adult inside a recreational motor vehicle outside of a hotel. When they arrived on scene, they discovered that he was dead. Scott had just turned 48 back in October and had a lengthy history with drugs and alcohol. Weiland was currently married to photographer Jamie Wachtel. They got married in 2013 after meeting in 2011 while filming a music video for the song I’ll Be Home For Christmas. After hearing about Scott’s death, she told The Los Angeles Times, “I can’t deal with this right now…It’s true.”
