The Lakers Surprised Newborns And Their Parents With Special Kobe Bryant Gear To Honor His Birthday
Kobe Bryant would have been 43-years-old yesterday, August 23. As you all know, the NBA legend tragically died back in early 2020 in a helicopter crash.
To keep his memory alive and going strong, the L.A. Lakers honored the superstar by surprising some newborns and their parents with some very special Kobe Bryant gear.
They teamed up with UCLA Health to hook up the new parents with some Mamba gifts and even an adorable “Welcome to the World!” letter.
On this special day, we want to honor Kobe Bryant and celebrate you. Kobe loved his family, and so this Kobe Day, we’re giving you and your family three shirts: two for your loved ones and one for you to grow into someday. Lakers family is for life.
As mentioned above, the gift bundle included Kobe shirts, but it also included a #8 baby cap and a little baby Lakers blanket.
You know that family and even the baby are going to be Lakers fans for life. No question about it.
In addition to this sweet gesture by the Lakers, several NBA stars jumped on their social media accounts to pay tribute to the legend…
