MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ Star Nelson Thomas Is Lucky To Be Alive After Fiery Car Crash In Texas
Nelson Thomas is used to a challenge, but even he’d admit this is a bit much. The 34-year-old MTV star was in a fiery car accident in Austin, TX, back on March 5.
What’s interesting is that one week ago, NFL player K.J. Osborn shared a video of him and three others helping a man out of a burning vehicle in Texas. Well, turns out, Thomas was the person inside the vehicle.
Small world, huh?
Thomas revealed the news on his Instagram account on Tuesday. He showed multiple photos of himself from inside the hospital. You can see that he appears to have f**ked up his foot/ankle. He also did a lot of damage to his arm as well.
He captioned the post:
Words can’t explain how grateful I am to be alive. God is truly great and he has you in his hands no matter who you are. I want to thank [K.J.] for being on the scene and filming my rescue. I’m forever grateful to the three others for risking their own lives to save mine.
It’s not clear what caused the crash. It’s possible Thomas was speeding and lost control of the vehicle, but that’s just speculation.
Thomas’ MTV friends commented on the post, including Cory Wharton, Johnny Bananas and Natalie Negrotti. Osborn also commented on the post, writing, “🤞🏾❤️ Locked In. Can’t wait to see you back up and doing what you love!”
It’s not clear how long the road to recovery will be for Thomas, but we’re sure he’s up for the challenge.
