Mark Wahlberg Moves Out Of Los Angeles And Heads To Nevada To Give Kids A Better Life
Back in 2009, Mark Wahlberg purchased a huge mansion in Beverly Hills, featuring 12 bedrooms, 20 bathrooms, a home theater, five-hole golf course, tennis court, skate park and so much more.
And back in 2009, he managed to grab it for just under $10 million. But in today’s market? The home is worth much more. He just put the property up for sale, asking for nearly $90 million, and it’s likely he gets every bit of that.
He has lived in the home for several years, even starting a family inside the home, but now that the family is growing older, he wants to give them a better life. Apparently, Beverly Hills just ain’t it for them.
During a recent appearance on ‘The Talk‘ the 51-year-old actor revealed he, his wife and his four children have moved to Nevada.
I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting, and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there. So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.
Well, damn. You had a golf course on your old property! That wasn’t good enough for the golfer son? His kids range from 18-years-old to 12-years-old.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Wahlberg purchased a home worth $15.6 million in Summerlin, which is just outside Las Vegas.
We came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s a lot of opportunity here. I’m really excited about the future.
A fresh start? Damn. He makes it sound like they witnessed a murder as a family and now need to move to protect themselves.
What are they running from? How is there more opportunity in Summerlin, Nevada, than LA? HOW?
