Oops? Ginuwine Passes Out While Submerged In Water During TV Rehearsal For New Magic Show

51-year-old R&B singer Ginuwine had a genuinely frightening experience this week while filming for the upcoming CW series, Magic With the Stars.

He was working with famed magician Criss Angel earlier this week, performing an underwater stunt, which was a huge deal for Ginuwine because he has a fear of being underwater.

You can see in the video that the singer was lowered in a glass cube filled with water, and just 15 seconds later, he was banging on the glass trying to get out. And while they were quick to pull him up, he still passed out.

It all happened so fast. It was like he got tapped out in a fight. In the show, he was trying to overcome his fear of being underwater as he couldn’t hold his breath for longer than 15 seconds before trying the stunt out. Although he failed in rehearsals, he still went ahead with the stunt on the show, and everyone was in tears.

Sources say an ambulance was called to the scene. He was carried off unconscious, but obviously he made a full recovery and even came back to do the stunt again, as mentioned above.

His rep told reporters:

Ginuwine is okay, and he made a full recovery. He was conquering a fear. Fortunately, everything is okay as he was working with Criss Angel, who’s the best in the business.

For those who care, this bizarre show is set to premiere on October 22. Personally, I’ll be waiting for the next series, Learning How to Wipe With the Stars.
