Leaked Audio of Kanye’s Backstage SNL Meltdown Proves Details Previously Reported Were False (AUDIO)
Everyone is blowing this up but I have to say, this really isn’t that bad. The audio clip was originally obtained by the New York Post and now it’s everywhere online. Kanye is supposedly yelling at staffers and the source that leaked the audio said that he was upset because he wasn’t consulted before changes were made to his stage setting. Initial reports also stated that he referred to staffers as “White M…f’ers” but the audio proves this was not true at all.
For West, things have to be just right and apparently he had some shiny flooring for his act that the SNL staff thought would be a problem. They said that the flooring was reflecting the stage lights and this created a confusing effect with the video wall that would be behind Kanye so they ripped it up. Kanye was upset because they did this without consulting him. Who knows, that confusing effect is something that Kanye could have been going for. He had every right to be upset. However, when you listen to the audio, it’s really not that bad. Quite frankly I would expect worse. This is the type of conversation you would expect to hear from Kanye even on a good day. LISTEN.
You can hear Kanye saying…
“Are they f—–g crazy? Whoa by 50 percent [I am more influential than] Stanley Kubrick, Picasso, Apostle Paul, f—–g Picasso and Escobar. By 50 percent more influential than any other human being. Don’t f–k with me. Don’t f–k with me. Don’t f–k with me. By 50 percent dead or alive, by 50 percent for the next 1,000 years. Stanley Kubrick, ‘Ye.”
