Mel Gibson to enter a No Contest Plea on Friday

Well while Charlie Sheen is taking up everyone else’s blogs and gossip sites, I figured we should peek in on our boy Mel Gibson.  The original Rant master.  It appears that Mel is ready to make a plea deal in regards to the domestic violence charges from last year.   Friday Gibson will plea no contest and that will keep his butt out of the slammer.  He will most likely not have to do any jail time. 

A statement from Gibson’s lawyer Blair Berk read, “I know from almost 20 years as a criminal defense lawyer that sometimes justice can come for a client at too high a personal price.  That is particularly so for Mel, whose right to due process can only be exercised in this case with an enormous media circus attached.  Mel’s only priority throughout all of this has been  that the best interests of his young daughter Lucia and the rest of his children be put first in any decisions made.  It is with only that in mind that he asked me to approach the DA with a proposal that would bring all of this to an immediate end”.

Basically Mel is stating that he issuing a no contest plea to insure that he is out of jail for the benefit of his kids.  Yeah right!  Mel is doing it because his a$$ is on tape nearly out right admitting that he was abusive, and his lawyer told him, plead no contest or I will be buying you some soap on a rope for your next birthday!

Come Friday the spot light goes from Charlie to Mel.  Maybe Charlie will have a great weekend and steal it back!!  We all know how he rolls, by now.
