No Wonder, Woman. NBC Passes after seeing the Pilot!
Maybe it was the costume, but it just seemed too hokey to me from the get go. Even with heavy weight David E. Kelley behind the project, it just seemed hokey.
The show’s 2011, “Go Girl” attitude was going to be a good thing. Wonder Woman was going to be a cooperate honcho by day, and a crime fighter….well I guess, by day also.
David E. Kelley and Jeffrey Reiner co-wrote the pilot but apparently NBC was not having it. Once you get passed up by one of the big 3, it’s very unlikely that you will get picked up at all.
Back in the day you could go to the cable networks, but they are creating 1st class shows themselves and have since raised their standards. (Have you ever seen “Men of a Certain Age”?)
Don’t feel too bad for David E. Kelley, NBC has decided to pick up Harry’s Law for a 2nd Season!
