The Bachelorette Ashley Herbert Gets Help From Bentley and The Mask.

Hat’s off to the producers of “The Bachelorette”.

As I am confident in my man hood, and watch and insane amount of TV, (that is now magnified thanks to HULU), I continue to watch “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” franchise. Every Season I teeter on the verge of not watching “The Bachelorette” because 20 men fighting over one woman is not only unrealistic, but just difficult to watch. There are just too many double standards. If he man makes out with 4 chicks in one night he’s a stud, but if Ashley does it, she’s a very popular garden tool.

As this season started I was on the fence as usual, when during the 1st episode, they start the Shticks. Shtick No. 1 is the man behind the mask, and Shtick No. 2 is the man who is there for the wrong reasons.
Both of these Shticks are hilarious and they actually work. Not too intrusive as to destroy the purpose, but just enough to maintain the very limited male audience that does watch it. It gives you various hero vs villain subplots.

The man behind the mask is just that, some d-bag that is wearing a mask. As if he’s that good looking that somehow his handsomeness will sweep Ashley off her feet and she will never get to know the real him. Ha!  What he doesn’t realize is that now he has placed all of the attention on his looks!  Doh!
Now Bentley, “the man here for the wrong reasons”,  is something else. It’s a show in a show (wrapped in an enigma – I always wanted to write that).
Bentley is now one of my favorite TV characters. He’s up there with Russell Hatnz, and Nene Leaks and there has only been two episodes.

Supposedly Ashley gets texted that Bentley is there for the “wrong” reasons. I’m not sure what the right reasons are, but you would think that with such a warning, there would be nothing that Bentley could say to win her over right? Wrong! He’s already received 2 roses, and one was given to him early!
I have to say at least until he goes home, you should be watching the bachelorette because the entertainment value is priceless. Don’t take my word for it, here are some already classic Bentley quotes,
