Jerry said he and “Pirates” are nothing without Depp. Bruckheimer said that he would not make a Pirates of the Caribbean 5 without Johnny Depp in his captain Jack dreads, however he has been working on the script since this May. Cocky or Optimistic?
From this statement he made to the L.A. Times before the release of Pirates 4, I’m going to call him, “Confident”.
“Hopefully, if this one does well, (Depp) will want to come back and play the character again,” “But it’s going to depend on the screenplay. It always does. He’s maniacal about not wanting to disappoint his audience.”
Now that Pirates 4 has hit the $1 billion dollar mark, I guess Pirates 5 is on like “Hot Buttered Pop Corn”. Money talks, and Johnny Depp is listening. He’s in negotiations to film the 5th installment of the Disney franchise.
Rumor has it, that Johnny Depp is extremely sensitive when it comes to the script so things have to be just right. At this point he knows he holds the keys to the Treasure Chest.
Jerry Bruckheimer and Johnny Depp go back about 3.1 Billion dollars…..I mean 4 Pirate movies and he is also co-starring in “The Lone Ranger”, another Disney/ Bruckheimer collaboration. Not sure if this will be a Franchise but it could be.
Depp is part Cherokee and did not like the way Tonto was portrayed on the TV show and hopes to change the relationship between the two legendary characters. He wants tonto to be less of a sidekick and more of a partner. The Lone Ranger will be played by Arnie Hammer. Who? Exactly.

Rumor has it that Johnny Depp earned over 350 Million total on the Franchise but Disney disputes this.
