McSteamy aka Eric Dane self-submitted to 30 Days of Rehab

So is this how TV Stars spend their off season?  Who would have “thunk it”. McSteamy in rehab, for what?

Apparently in June he checked himself into “The Hills”.  This comes on the heels of his wife Rebecca Gayheart announcing that she was pregnant with their second child.

Maybe knowing he had another kid on the way put him over the edge!

It appears that it was more of a “just in case” rehab then a “stop doing” rehab, or at least that’s what his camp would like us to believe.

‘Actor Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus.

‘He reports back to work next week. Business as usual,’

You have to actually give this dude some props.  Friends said that he felt his life was getting out of control and decided to get some help.  The filming of the next season of Grey’s started filming this week so Eric new he needs to pull it together.

His wife was not without controversy herself, back in 2001 she actually hit and killed a nine year old boy!  She was charged with vehicular manslaughter and had her license suspended for a year.  Hmmm….why does that sound a little light?

There might be more to this.  If McSteamy really checked himself in as reported then that’s smart.  It’s almost never been done successfully before so let’s wait and see on this one.

I’m not convinced…but that’s my job.  More to come….
