Debbie Allen to Join the Cast of Grey’s Anatomy!

Grey’s Anatomy is picking up another star that is sure to get some Old Head’s watching.  Debbie Allen will be joining the cast.  Remember her? She was the hot teacher in Fame back in the day.  The real Fame, not the “Lame Fame”.  She is also the sister of Phylicia Rashād (The mom in the Cosby Show).

She will be playing the mom of Jackson Avery, making her appearance in episode 5 of the new season.  We will slowly learn more about Avery as his character is developed in expectations of a “McDreamy” departure.  I know we all can’t wait, the Grey’s Anatomy break definitely leaves us craving for more every fall….as long as they don’t pull that singing crap.  (I’m sorry but that entire episode sucked!!).

BTW – Debbie Allen has directed three episodes of Grey’s so she knows her way around the set.
