Ray J and Whitney Houston were Shopping around a Reality Show! Rumor Confirmed!
I got wind of this rumor the end of last week but it was not worthy of printing. It was so farfetched in my opinion that I didn’t give it much credence. Then Wednesday the texts and emails started rolling in so I did some digging.
The origin comes from The Daily Beast and they lived up to their name. They were a Beast on this story, getting an exclusive.
WHITNEY AND RAY J’S RELATIONSHIP
Although in an interview right before her death, Ray J does not admit to being physically linked to Whitney Houston but they have been romantically seen together several times over the past few years. Reports have it that the altercation that Whitney had in a night club the week prior to her death were over Ray J.
Stacy Francis, from The X Factor, showed some interest in Ray J, to which Houston got angry/ jealous and the two engaged in a heated shouting match. The pictures of Whitney emerging from a night club, drunk and disheveled were taken right after that incident. Francis has sold the details of that story to the UK news paper the “Daily Mirror”.
Ray J and Whitney have been linked together since her separation with Bobby Brown. Ray J and Whitney both have had reality shows in the past. Ray J doing 2 Seasons of his dating show, “For the Love of Ray J” and Whitney doing one season of her show “Being Bobby Brow”n. Whitney refused to do a season 2, and also refused to allow the show to be sold on DVD. ..Smart Girl.
SO WAS THERE OR WASN’T THERE A REALITY SHOW?
Ok, relax….according to The Daily Beast, yes. Ray J’s publicist Courtney Barnes confirmed the rumor by releasing a statement to The Daily Beast:
“It was his show, and they shot footage of the two of them together that appeared in the sizzle reel, which was being used to pitch the show.”
When asked if Ray J is still trying to pitch the show, Barnes says, “I don’t know”.
I hope not, because that would take “no class” to a whole new level. Ray J has been receiving a lot of press lately, and has not spoken since the funeral. Knowing him and how hard he works, I’m sure he will capitalize on this shine somehow. I know about the book…but I think he will find even more juice to squeeze from this spark in interest.
