Just days after performing in New York (See video below), Davy Jones has died.  He had a heart attack in his Florida home and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

WHO THE HECK IS DAVY JONES??

Hmm, yeah, I forgot.  My readers are of many ages and nationalities.  Jones was part of The Monkees.  “Hey Hey, We’re the Monkees, Can’t say we Money Around…..”

Well trust me, they were big.  The group was put together specifically for a TV show in 1965. The show was genius and sparked many top charting hits including, “Daydream Believer”, “Pleasant Valley Sunday” and even the theme song from the show became a chart topper.  Davy Jones’ was the Justin Bieber of the late 60’s early 70’s.  They sold over 50 million records.

The group broke up 1971 but Davy Jones continued to perform and do celebrity appearances on television.

THE BRADY BUNCH

One of the most popular Brady Bunch episodes was when Marcia told everybody at school that she could get Davy Jones to perform at the school’s senior prom.  She was the president of the Davy Jones’ fan club and desperately tries to get him to perform.

Jones’ is survived by his 3rd wife Jessica Pacheco and his 4 daughters.

Here is his clip from the Brady Bunch – They don’ make TV like this anymore.  *sniff, sniff*
