Busta Rhymes Tells Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg to Apologize To Nicki Minaj
This morning Busta Rhymes was on Hot 97 and was the guest for one of the shows regular segment, “Things Black People Don’t Care About”. Busta should have been hoping his new CD release wasn’t a topic but instead he attempts to break the segment launching into a “You betta Apologize” mode when one of the topics was Nicki Minaj.
Rosenberg asks Busta if he cared that Mariah Carey, and rightly fully so, hung up the phone on American Idol producers when she heard that Micki Minaj was in talks to sit next to her at the judging table. (I expressed my thoughts on this yesterday. You thought occupy wall street was bad – I will bring hell fire to social media networks. ) That’s when Busta attempts to interrupt the segment telling Rosenberg to apologize.
Yes, he was not totally serious, but this Nicki beef could have been squashed. Busta doesn’t want to create waves, where I think waves need to be created. Busta is worrying about the potential to collab with Young Money artists, he has business on the brain which is the problem. People are thinking business and not being artists.
I’m so sick and tired of Young Money. They have put leopard print leggings on hip hop. This should have been stopped a long time ago. Nicki is a parody of a real female MC. Why she does have skills, she’s more gimmick now then grit. She’s more lime light and lipstick then lyrics. Remember Rah Digga, Lauryn Hill, Remy ma? Those are female mc’s that stood for something and spit hard. Nicki is a commercialized version of an MC and she got called out on it by Rosenberg. Period. She was exposed. Rosenberg pulled he curtains back on the Wizard of OZ.
Despite working at Hot 97 and not having any black people in his bridal party – Rosenberg is Hip Hop.
FLAT OUT LIL WAYNE DOES NOT LIKE NEW YORK
Now Lil Wayne is is dissing New York. After Nicki’s concert last week, he was interviewed by MTV News and he said, that he flat out doesn’t like New York,
“Flat out, I don’t like New York. The whole Summer Jam/Nicki thing, I can’t really remember the situation, but I know it was my call. As far as last week[‘s show], last week was awesome. I think everything happens for a reason, and I think when people say that, you’re not supposed to leave it at, ‘Everything happens for a reason.’ I believe everything happens for a reason and then you make the most of that reason. I think we made the most of it last week.”
Of course he remembers the situation – and FYI Summer Jam is In New Jersey Weezy!!
For me that’s perfect. I’m tired of Young Money, I’m tired of gimmicks I just want hip hop. In fact I went on a Young Money fast and all of a sudden, hip hop was real again. Songs had meaning, depth, dimensions. They were generated from deeper issues then trying to get as much cross over burn as you can.
I would be full of sh*t, if I said that Young Money wasn’t putting out fire every now and then, but just because they are the loudest, doesn’t mean they are the best and people are confusing the two.
