Justin Bieber fires Shots back at Black Keys Drummer Patrick Carney

It appears that there is a little hate from Patrick Carney.

Carney is the drummer of the group, “The Black Keys” and despite recent Grammy success; Carney had no love for The Bieb! That is why Justin Bieber Tweeted this:

The Black Keys is a two member band from Akron Ohio and have been putting in work since 2001.  Their success comes from “old school” grinding. They signed their first contract on an independent label and recorded their first album in Carney’s basement.

Bieber’s success is a different kind of grind, one that Carney apparently doesn’t respect.

Although The Black Keys walked away with three Grammys (Best Rock Album for El Camino and Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance for “Lonely Boy) Carney still had smack to talk about Justin Bieber.  The bigger question is, why was he even asked about the teen pop star?

WHAT DID PATRICK CARNEY SAY?

Carney was probed by the pesky (but effective) TMZ crew.  They asked Carney for advice for aspiring artists.  Carney’s smart-ass reply was,

 Buy a minivan and go on tour

Then they ask him about Justin Bieber not getting any Grammy nominations this year despite topping the charts, and Carney’s even smarter-ass reply was,

I dunno, he’s rich, right? Grammys are for, like, music, not for money. . . . He’s making a lot of money. He should be happy.”

For that comment, I feel Justin Bieber’s response was more than appropriate.

Yes, I am defending Justin Bieber.

Also in Beiber’s defense, let’s go check for check – Patrick Carney’s  is also rich.  His net worth is $4 million, but he’s not Bieber rich, whose net worth is estimated at $110 Million.
