In Case You Didn’t know – Magic Johnson’s Son is Gay. Really Gay [video]

TMZ ran into Magic Johnson’s son, Earvin Johnson on the Sunset Strip recently and asked him a few questions. They asked him about the Dodgers, the Lakers chances of making the playoffs and that was just about it. Nothing special happened, no fights, no shocking comments and no waiters threatening to eat anyone. However, it was who Earvin was walking with during the interview that caused all the commotion. TMZ writes that Earin was walking “hand in hand” with his boyfriend. One of the first public sightings of the couple. And Earvin appears to have the full support of his parents.  Magic told TMZ,

“Cookie and I love EJ and support him in every way. We’re very proud of him.”

No one should really be surprised by that. Why wouldn’t he support his son? And if for some reason he didn’t, he wouldn’t be silly enough to come out and say it in public. Especially after all Magic has been through in his life. Magic himself has had to deal with gay rumors after he announced he tested positive for HIV back in 1991.

So, we’re willing to bet Magic Johnson is extremely understanding and supportive of his son. Honestly, I am a little surprised that this is even “news” on all the gossip sites today. Is anyone really surprised by this? I think we’re all just tired of talking about Lindsay Lohan, so we’re trying to write about anything else.
