D.L. Hughley Happy to Be Eliminated From DWTS

We reported to you a couple of weeks back about the “drama” on the set of Dancing with the Stars. The drama being that D.L. Hughley was being extremely sensitive and taking the judges’ criticism to heart. Which is really quite odd considering he is a comedian. If anyone should be able to take a few punches, it should be someone like D.L. Hughley. Anyway, it was clear to everyone watching the show that Hughley was jut not happy on it. He wanted to be voted off so bad, and last night he finally got his wish!

The “funny man” was voted off Dancing with the Stars last night and to say he was relieved would be an understatement. “F–k yeah! Sorry but yes, yes I am.” Hughley said while laughing after he was asked if he felt relieved to leave the show. Hughley’s excitement comes from the fact that he won’t have to put up with being bullied by the judges anymore. Of course, the judges weren’t really “bullying” him, it’s just Hughley apparently doesn’t take criticism too well.

However, he did express a lot of love for his dancing partner, Cheryl Burke. “Cheryl Burke is my little Asian daughter that I’ve adopted. We’ve become so close.” the comedian said. Burke seemed to enjoy her time with Hughley, as well. “Every single day he made me laugh and we had fun. He didn’t take himself too seriously.” she said of Hughley.

I don’t know about you, but I have a little trouble buying that last comment from Cheryl Burke. It seemed like he took himself and the show way too seriously. I mean, he probably got paid over $100,000 just to dance on television. Who the hell cares if the judges don’t like your performance? You just got a quick 100 grand in your bank account! Have fun, and don’t worry about what they think. It’s not like you are planning on beginning a professional dancing career after the show.

Anyway, now that Hughley is eliminated, who will he be rooting for? Well, he said he will be rooting for Andy Dick, simply because he wanted to say “Team Dick” on television. It’s nice to see that he is already get back to his roots. Stick with comedy, Hughley. Leave the over sensitive dancer routine at home.
