Jack Black Waited How Long to Ask Out His Wife?

Jack Black has never been one to shy away from the spotlight. He’s often the center of attention with his wild antics. Jack is always breaking out into rock songs, playing the air guitar and just completely making a fool of himself. It’s one of the main reasons why we love him, that, and the fact that he was the coolest teachers ever in, ‘School of Rock.’ However, Jack Black didn’t always have the confidence he has now. Jack Black admitted to The Sun Newspaper that it took him 15 years to ask out his wife.

“I wish I’d had more courage to ask out Tanya Haden, the woman who eventually became my wife. We met at school at 18 – and I wasted 15 years waiting for my chance. She was everything I could wish for. Talented, beautiful and wonderful performer on stage. She was part of a band called The Haden Triplets. We first worked together on a student film but we did not date. I use to see her and her sisters perform at clubs around town. I would watch from the shadows, mumble some compliments and shuffle off. So I would see her only every couple of years.” the actor told the newspaper.

He shouldn’t feel too bad about waiting so long to ask her out. They’d probably be divorced by now if they started dating back in high school! That’s just too young to settle down and be with only one person. A lot of people that get married that young grow up despising each other because they never got the chance to date other people. So, really, his shyness was really a blessing in disguise!
