Donald Trumps Bid for Presidency Getting Serious?
The 2012 election is just behind us, but people are already getting ready for the upcoming 2016 election. The Republicans are gearing up and trying to put together a plan to take over the white house again. And they might actually have a chance because Obama can’t run again. We all know he would win again if he could run. His speeches are just too amazing, I don’t really like any politicians, but when Obama talks, I get butterflies inside my stomach. Anyway, back to the Republicans. The Republicans desperately want to win the upcoming election and it appears like some of them know just the man for the job.
Donald Trump. You may remember how he “threatened” to run last election, but never actually did it. Instead, he started all that nonsense about Obama’s birth certificate. However, this upcoming election might be different. It’s being reported that Trump has spent $1 million (pocket change) on electoral research for a potential presidential run. Apparently, the billionaire has been approached by several people at Republican events who are begging him to run. Trump said last week at Republican Party event in Michigan,
“Everybody tells me, ’Please run for president. Please run for president.’ I would be much happier if a great and competent person came a long. I’d be happy if President Obama did a great job. I’m a republican, but before anything, I love this country. I would love to see somebody come in who is going to be great.”
He also tried to put the flame out on the presidential rumors, saying it was “highly unlikely” that he would run.
However, Michael Cohen, Trump’s special counsel is taking this potential presidential run a little more seriously. Cohen said,
“The electoral research was commissioned. We did not spend $1 million on this research for it just to sit on my bookshelf. At this pint Mr. Trump has not made any decision on a political run, but what I would say is that he is exactly what this country needs. The turnout at these political speeches indicates his following remains very strong and is growing.”
Trump is also already predicting who the Democratic front-runner will be, Hilary Clinton. He claims that it will be a landslide if the republicans do not pick the right person.
It will be a huge landslide if the republicans pick Donald Trump. I’d rather Gary Busey run this country. The reason people show up at Trump’s speeches is because they want to be close to a billionaire. They want to play tennis with him and make fun of people who buy their clothes at Wal-Mart. I don’t have a problem with rich people, I just have a problem with rich people who act like Donald Trump. I mean, you think people hate America now? Just imagine if we had Trump running this country…yikes!
