DJ Quik’s Daughter and her Baby’s Father, Charged with Murder of Their 2 Year Old Son

The daughter of DJ Quick has been arrested on charges of murder.  The incident occurred apparently because the child wet his bed.  Once Darnell Moses Alvarez found out he allegedly hit the child multiple times with a belt.  Davieanna Marlena Blake aka DJ Quick’s daughter did not do anything to stop Alvarez from hitting the child with the belt.  She went to work while the beating was going on.

When she returned home she found that the child was not breathing.  Paramedics were called and tried to revive the child.  Witnesses described the scene,

“There was a mother on the phone and she was just pacing back and forth talking and the father was sitting down crying and the paramedics kept trying to resuscitate the child.  They kept loosing him and trying to get him back,”

The autopsy of the child showed that he had a lacerated liver internal bleeding and multiple bruising all over his body.  Alvarez did not deny that he was responsible.  He told police that it was his fault and consequently he was immediately booed on murder charges.

Although she didn’t strike the child, Blake was booked and arrested for murder as well.  Sgt. Steve Martos of the Phoenix police dept explained,

She obviously had some knowledge of this abuse. Didn’t do anything about it.  She got home, was aware of additional abuse throughout the day, didn’t do anything about it. The child was in need of medical attention.. didn’t do anything about it,”

Alvarez and Blake are being held on $500,000 and $250,000 respectively.  Yes, that was DJ Quik’s Grandson.
