Academy Award Winner Jennifer Hudson plays the wife of Nelson Mandela (Academy Award Nominee Terrence Howard) in the RLJ Entertainment film, Winnie Mandela.

The story, directed by Darrell Roodt, will chronicle Winnie’s life from her childhood through their marriage, detailing her journey to keep Nelson’s mission of freedom and equality in South Africa alive after his arrest.

The film also stars Elias Koteas and Wendy Crewson.
