Katie Couric Releases Statement On Kardashian Feud

As most of you know, Katie Couric recently pissed off Kim Kardashian after she dissed her in a magazine and then sent her a baby gift.

“I don’t understand — why are (the Kardashians) so famous?” Katie told In Touch Weekly recently. That little line didn’t sit too well with Kim and she expressed her anger towards Couric after receiving a baby gift from the journalist.

Well, now Katie Couric has issued a statement on the incident and apologized for what she said in the magazine…kind of.

“I was responding to a reporter’s question, and explaining how I’m intrigued by the public’s fascination with her family. I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine, and I’m happy for Kim and Kanye.”

It seems like we’re not the only ones fascinated with her family. I mean, she sent them a freaking baby gift like she’s part of the family or something. What was she hoping to gain from that? An exclusive? That’s real journalism right there.

Maybe Jennifer Aniston was right when she questioned if Katie was even a legitimate journalist anymore.
