Rev Run Will Soon Be A Grandfather

This news might make you feel a little old, but hip-hop legend Rev. Run is going to be a grandfather!

Rev’s oldest daughter Vanessa Simmons revealed the exciting news on her Instagram account yesterday afternoon. How exactly did she announce the news? Well, she shared the sonogram shot with all of her fans.

Vanessa captioned the picture with, “a little princess is on the way.”

So, who is the dude who knocked her up? Mike Wayans, the son of comedian Damon Wayans. It’s like a match made in, “My father is famous” heaven.

They have apparently been together for a long time and everyone in the family seems to be excited about the news. Russell Simmons’ website claims that Vanessa has been pregnant for about 5 months now.  Don’t confuse Mike Wayans with Damon Jr.

They also released the following statement,

“Our families are super excited. Our baby is coming into two big families with lots of love and lots of joy. This is my family’s first grandchild, so everybody can’t wait for her arrival.”

Honestly, I thought the first grandchild would come from Jojo knocking up some chick. I’m a little disappointed, but I guess you can’t always get what you want.
