NBA Star Kendrick Perkins Arrested After Punching Woman In Face

Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins was arrested yesterday after allegedly punching a woman in the face.

The incident took place outside of a nightclub in Harris County, Texas. Perkins was with his brother-in-law Quincy Alpough outside of the club when a woman by the name of Mikeeta Cotton got into a fender bender with Alpough’s female cousin.

According to cotton, the cousin attacked her after the accident, and she claims that Alpough jumped in the fight and started to help his cousin. At some point during the fight, Perkins came into the picture and punched her brother in the head. Then she says that Perkins turned to her and hit her right in the face with a closed fist.

Cops have now investigated the incident and they apparently found enough evidence to charge the NBA star with misdemeanor assault. He was arrested, and then released on $1,000 bond, which is pocket change to Perkins.

The general manager of the Thunder released the following statement,

“We were made aware of the allegations. It is something we take seriously and are gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time.”

We’re assuming alcohol played a big part in this, but who knows. Maybe they just really don’t like being involved in minor car accidents.
